The Hisatsinom Chapter of the Colorado Archaeology Society presents James Davenport at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Church, 515 Park St., Cortez, to discuss “’Literal Providers of Food and Drink’: The Inka Empire, Feasts, and Ritual Control.” Davenport will explore the extent of this ritual control through analysis of ceramics recovered from Pachacamac, a ritual center conquered by the Inka on the Peruvian coast.
