On behalf of the Colorado Animal Welfare League, I would like to thank Brian Bartlett at the Baymont Inn in Cortez for the numerous times he has donated rooms to this organization. The Colorado Animal Welfare League has been coming to this area on a regular basis for free spay and neuter clinics in Towaoc and Shiprock. The veterinarians and techs donate their time, and the last time they were in Shiprock they actually reached the 1,000th animal. If it were not for the generosity of people like Brian and the Baymont Inn, they would not be able to continue to have these clinics as often as they do. I now teach in New Mexico, and can see the great need for this type of community assistance.

I would also like to thank Louise Long and Noah’s Ark for their continued willingness to foster our rescued animals until the Colorado Animal Welfare League is able to transport them to Denver. Louise has also been very instrumental in working with this organization to house many litters of unwanted puppies and abandoned adult dogs. If you are interested in adopting any of these abandoned animals, please call Noah’s Ark at 565-2751.

Sincerely, Kathy Roatcap
