Southwestern Cowbelles officers for the year 2013-2014 were installed April 16 at the regular meeting.
Cowbelles meet the third Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. at the Elks Lodge.
Current activities include the scholarship fund raffle, with members selling chances on a Panther .223 rifle.
The drawing will be held on June 8 at 8:30 p.m. at the Bob Banks Memorial Arena during the Ute Mountain Round-up Rodeo.
Cowbelles are sponsoring Wendy Granneman of the Dolores County School to attend teacher education for “Ag in the Classroom.”
Information booths have been set up at the Ag Expo, Cortez Gun and Sportsman Show and Montezuma County Fair.
