Skanska announced the hiring of Mike Skov as business development director for its civil-business unit’s Rocky Mountain District.
With more than a dozen years of work in the industry, Skov has in-depth knowledge of the mining and energy sectors in the Rocky Mountain region and the Southwest United States. His experience includes hundreds of projects throughout the region. Additionally, Skov’s portfolio includes significant work from Canada and Latin America, helping him identify specific best practices that can apply to individual clients in all geographies.
Skov received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and obtained a master’s degree from the University of Chicago.
Skanska has been active in the region since the 1950s, and is one of the region’s leading heavy civil contractors, performing services ranging from highway and bridge work to complex earthwork and mining-related projects.
