Multiple vendors reported that they sold all their goods on opening night of the Mancos Valley Farmers Market on June 14, according to director Carrie Summers.

She estimated about 75 people and 10 vendors attended the market, a strong start to the season.

The Green Table Food Truck provided ice cream, and the market provided live music. Vendors provided a variety of goods ranging from jewelry to fresh meat.

In addition, the Rosa Belongs Here group sold jewelry that Rosa Sabido has made while living in sanctuary at Mancos United Methodist Church. According to Summers, Sabido’s popular tamales will be sold next week.

The farmers market has been hosting Mancos vendors for at least 10 years, Summers said.

“It has really evolved since it moved downtown,” Summers said. “It has quite a more intimate feeling.”

The farmers market is open every Thursday from 4-7 p.m. through October.

Vendors spots are still available at $50 for the summer.
