Gigi Baxstrom was among the servers as Grace’s Kitchen celebrated its 20th anniversary on June 23. She and two other servers, Annika Lewis and Maya LaMunyon, recently returned from a trip to Haiti, where they worked with schoolchildren.

More than 90 people attended an Italian dinner on June 23 to raise funds for Grace’s Kitchen and to celebrate the kitchen’s 20th anniversary feeding the community.

Grace’s feeds up to 150 people three times a week.

Highlighted in the celebration at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church were the more than 30 volunteers who make the kitchen happen along with the scores of others who have participated throughout the past 20 years.

“While it is a ministry of St. Barnabas, it could not happen without the support of the larger community,” said Priest Leigh Waggoner.
