The La Plata-Archuleta Cattlemen’s Association recently announced tickets are on sale for its chuck wagon cook-off, which is scheduled to be held July 28 at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
This year’s competition includes five wagons that will serve plates of beef, potatoes, beans, fresh bread, dessert and a beverage.
Tickets are $20, available at Basin Co-op, 26103 U.S. Highway 160. Proceeds go to the Cattlemen’s Association scholarship fund.
