Thursday, Jan. 5

8:10 p.m.: A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Jan. 6

6:30 a.m.: Deputies responded to a vehicle fire outside a residence in the 900 block of Central Avenue in Dolores. They determined the fire was most likely caused by a bag of ashes from a pellet stove, which a man had placed next to the vehicle the day before. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

3 p.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Court on an active warrant.

4:53 p.m. A woman was arrested on an active warrant at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

5:08 p.m.: A man was arrested on three active warrants at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

5:10 p.m.: A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

8:23 p.m.: A man was arrested near mile marker 25 on U.S. Highway 160 on a warrant for failing to appear in court for a traffic case.

Saturday, Jan. 7

2:45 p.m.: A woman reported her debit card had been stolen and used at a convenience store in Georgia and a Redbox in Louisiana. Redbox had refunded the money. A deputy attempted to contact the convenience store, but was unable to learn anything about the suspect or the stolen card.

Sunday, Jan. 8

9:29 p.m.: A man was arrested at the Baymont Inn, 2279 Hawkins St., on suspicion of second-degree assault, domestic violence, violation of a protection order and child abuse after a woman claimed he had tried to strangle her. Three small children were found in their hotel room. The woman was also cited for violation of a protection order and child abuse.

10:11 p.m.: Deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover in the 29000 block of County Road M. Another vehicle had picked up the occupants of the one that crashed, and deputies asked them to return to the scene for the investigation.

Monday, Jan. 9

6:18 p.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a county failure to comply warrant and a municipal warrant for an intoxicated pedestrian offense.

Tuesday, Jan. 10

3:47 p.m. A man was remanded to the jail from Montezuma County District, 109 W. Main St.

6:43 p.m. A man turned himself in to Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on two warrants for failing to appear in court.

10:50 p.m. A man was stopped for driving without license plates in the 7000 block of U.S. 160, and was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for a previous traffic offense.

11:01 p.m. A man and a woman reported a hit and run in the parking lot of Cox Corner Store on 18794 U.S. 491. The front of their vehicle sustained paint damage and a broken bumper. The incident is still under investigation.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

12:38 a.m. A man was arrested at the intersection of U.S. 160 and County Road D on suspicion of driving under the influence. Deputies had contacted him earlier as a possible suspect in a domestic violence case.

9:15 a.m.: A man was arrested on two warrants at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

11:20 a.m.: A woman was cited for driving 66 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 15000 block of County Road 25.

7 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St. for failing to comply with a court order.

Thursday, Jan. 12

11:57 a.m.: A man was cited for driving 75 mph in a 65 mph zone in the 2000 block of U.S. Highway 160 and was arrested for diving with a revoked license as a habitual offender.

1:24 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Jan. 13

1 a.m.: A woman driving with a broken taillight was pulled over in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 160 and arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court. A male passenger was arrested for failing to comply with a court order.
