Mancos youth volleyball
The Mancos Youth Volleyball League for grades third through fifth will have an informational meeting in the cafeteria after school on Tuesday, Dec. 18. Practices will begin on Thursday, Jan. 10, from 4 to 5:15 p.m. in the cafeteria, and will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays until Feb. 28. Tournaments are every Saturday at various locations from Jan. 26, through March 2. Registration is $50 and due Thursday, Jan. 17. The Mancos Youth Volleyball League for grades sixth through eighth will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 19, after the Mancos Middle School basketball season is over. Cortez Rec. boys youth basketball
The City of Cortez parks and recreation department is now taking registrations for third- through-sixth-grade boys youth basketball. The 2013 season begins Monday, Jan. 7, and continues until Saturday, Feb. 16. Cost to participate is $20, which includes a T-shirt jersey. Registrations are being taken at the Cortez Recreation Center and will close Monday, Dec. 31. Any questions, please contact Joye McHenry at 564-4080.
Cortez youth volleyball
Cortez youth volleyball for 2013 starts Monday, Jan. 7. A parent informational meeting and sign-up that day will be at 6:30 p.m., at the Cortez Middle School main gym. The program is for girls and boys, fourth- through-eighth-grade, who want to learn and improve their volleyball skills, and have fun doing it. Practice for grades four-six is Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. Grades 7-8 is Wednesday, 2:40 to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $60 per player with multi-child family discounts available. Cortez Rec. Coed volleyball
The City of Cortez is accepting registrations for the 2013 Coed volleyball season. All games will be played on Wednesday nights. Its a guaranteed eight game season, plus a double elimination tournament. T-shirts will be awarded to the tournament winner. Fee is $175. Registration ends Wednesday, Jan. 9. The season begins Wednesday, Jan. 16. Call 564-4080 with any questions.
