Wednesday, Aug. 8

1:51 a.m.: An officer recognized a woman with an outstanding warrant walking in the 200 block of W. Fifth St. and arrested her.

1:53 a.m.: An inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant.

4:03 p.m.: A man reported that a backpack was stolen from his vehicle, parked at his home in the 200 block of W. Downey St.

5:51 p.m.: A couple reported that a raft, generator and snowblower were stolen at Long’s Trailer Park, 1016 E. Main St.

11:40 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, weaving, operating an uninsured vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle, possessing drug paraphernalia and violating an alcohol-related protection order after being pulled over in the 1300 block of E. Empire St. His passenger was questioned about an ongoing investigation involving the purchase of Lottery tickets with counterfeit money, but she declined to discuss it and was released.

Thursday, Aug. 9

4:03 a.m.: A man who allegedly bothered customers outside Walmart was arrested outside Walgreens, 1671 E. Main St., for disturbing the peace and violating alcohol-related bond conditions.

8:09 a.m.: A vehicle turning left from W. Empire St. onto North Broadway collided with a northbound vehicle on the highway.

9:21 a.m.: A woman reported that her phone had been stolen at the Tomahawk Inn, 728 S. Broadway.

11:42 a.m.: A woman reported that her rear license plate had been stolen.

1:57 p.m.: A woman reported a vehicle break-in in her garage in the 600 block of E. Fourth St. Nothing appeared to be missing. She reported that although she doesn’t smoke, she found a cigarette in the ashtray.

5:37 p.m.: A woman who was found sleeping in a pickup truck in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St., was arrested on a warrant.

9:23 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant for trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

Friday, Aug. 10

10:34 a.m.: A vehicle collided with another vehicle as it turned into a driveway in the 1600 block of E. Main St.

1:13 p.m.: Three people face charges after allegedly beating an intoxicated main in City Park, 802 E. Main St. One man was cited on suspicion of third-degree assault, violating an alcohol-related protection order and harassment. A second man was cited for third-degree assault. A woman was cited for third-degree assault and domestic violence, since she was reportedly was in a long-term relationship with the victim. The three suspects were jailed. All four were taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital because of intoxication.

12:55 p.m.: A man was arrested at City Park, 802 E. Main St. for violating alcohol-related bond conditions.

3:33 p.m.: An intoxicated woman was arrested in the 1300 block of North Mildred Road on two warrants, one each from Farmington and Cortez.

7:05 p.m.: An intoxicated man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at the Cortez Rec Center, 425 Roger Smith Ave.

7:58 p.m.: A woman driving a Honda CRV was cited for hit-and-run after leaving the scene of a rear-end crash near City Market, 508 E. Main St. The driver of the rear-ended Ford Ranger pickup truck was cited for careless driving after brake-checking the Honda. According to witnesses, the Honda driver and two of her three passengers fought with the pickup driver, who declined to press charges.

10:49 p.m.: A man was arrested with unlawful use of a controlled substance (meth) in the 1400 block of Mesa Verde St. after he was seen banging on a residence’s door.

10:49 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at his home, in the 300 block of N. Sligo St.

Saturday, Aug. 11

3:09 a.m.: A topless woman, who said she thought she was in Dolores, was arrested in the 400 block of S. Maple St. for violating an alcohol-related bond condition.

12:52 p.m.: The Mesa Verde Inn, 640 S. Broadway, reported that a 32-inch TV, valued at $200, had been stolen.

4:40 p.m.: A man was arrested on three warrants and two summonses in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., after he allegedly hit and knocked out a woman who reportedly was involved with his girlfriend, who also was at the scene. The female victim declined to press charges, saying she just wanted to get back to Towaoc.

5:36 p.m.: A man was arrested for being intoxicated in the roadway near Montezuma Avenue and Park Street.

6:33 p.m.: An intoxicated man at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

8:46 p.m.: A man was arrested at the Methodist Thrift Shop, 444 E. Main St., for violating alcohol-related bond conditions.

10:12 p.m.: An intoxicated man was arrested on a warrant at Sleeping Ute Apartments, 516 S. Madison St.

Sunday, Aug. 12

2:02 a.m.: A man was arrested for stealing a six-pack at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., after he was found in a store bathroom along with two empty cans of beer. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital, then jailed.

6:15 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence after reportedly hitting a woman at a residence in the 200 block of W. Second St.

6:29 a.m.: A released patient was cited for trespass at Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, after he was found sleeping on a bench. Asked why he was on the bench, he replied that he was waiting for a ride from police. The officer declined to accommodate him.

10:14 a.m.: A man reported that his $200 bike had been stolen from outside his home, in the 420 block of S. Linden St.

11:57 a.m.: A man was arrested for violating alcohol-related bond conditions in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.

3:12 p.m. Two women were arrested for disturbing the peace after a fight in City Park, 802 E. Main St.
