Regarding Catherine Spencer and Larry Tradlener, I believe that the best way to deal with their mean-spirited drivel is simply to not read it; let it go. Smile every time you don't read it, and smile again as you realize how fortunate you are that you don't have to spend time with such people. And perhaps engage in a bit of empathy as you think about how miserable they must be in their perpetually negative and uninformed world. It's sad.
