The driver of an SUV was cited for careless driving after a multiple vehicle crash Monday morning on Hesperus Hill.

The driver of a 2005 GMC turned from Colorado Highway 140 into the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 160 and collided with a 2017 Dodge minivan, State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis said. The minivan was headed east.

A 2017 Nissan car was also headed east and swerved to avoid the SUV and the van. It sustained damage to its passenger side, Lewis said.

Steven Stahr, a 39-year-old man from Oregon, was driving the 2005 GMC and received the careless driving citation, Lewis said.

One person involved in the crash, a 25-year-old passenger traveling in the Nissan, was injured in the crash, he said.
