The Durango Police Department responded to a report of a body found Tuesday evening near the Durango Dog Park in west Durango.
The body was found in a somewhat remote location; the La Plata County Coroner’s Office and La Plata County Search and Rescue were working to recover the body Tuesday night, said Bob Brammer with the Durango Police Department at about 7:15 p.m.
“There is no danger to the public,” Brammer said. “But there was a body discovered, and we are in the process of investigating that.”
No further information was immediately available Tuesday night.
