Phase 2 in construction at Re-6 Mancos School District continued this week, scheduled for completion in April 2019.

Construction crews, led by owner’s representative Monty Guiles, were scheduled to continue sewer and storm drain installation at the gym addition, prep the gym addition for concrete pouring and remove concrete crews from the elementary school.

Before demobilizing from the elementary school, the crew was scheduled to backfill the inside slab area of the elementary school to the surrounding subgrade, essentially leveling out the construction area by adding concrete. Crews were also scheduled to pour concrete foundations for two playground structures at the school.

At the gym addition, crews were scheduled to install a vapor barrier, reinforcing bars and electrical wiring below the addition’s foundation.
