Downtown Cortez gets in the spirit of Halloween

Montezuma County Clerk office employees pose in costume on Oct. 31. Employees decorated the office with a prison theme for Halloween and dressed as inmates as they went about their daily work, which included counting ballots in the 2018 midterm elections.

Ertel Funeral Home on Market Street in Cortez put on a Halloween party for trick-or-treaters in Cortez. Staff wore costumes, including one as the Grim Reaper, and posed with the kids from the Smith and the Goodall family.
