Saturday, Jan. 19

2:20 p.m.: A woman outside the Cortez Recreation Center, 425 Roger Smith Ave., reported that someone had scratched the hood of her car. There were no immediate suspects or leads.

10:55 p.m.: A woman driving a silver SUV with Utah plates was arrested on a warrant from Farmington after allegedly failing to obey a stop sign on the 2100 block of E. Main St.

Monday, Jan. 21

11:12 a.m.: A woman reported that her car windshield had been broken overnight and a snow shovel was left on her hood at Sleeping Ute Apartments, at 516 S. Madison. She said her cultural beliefs did not allow her to be outside the night of the lunar eclipse. The windshield was struck hard enough to dislodge the rearview mirror. There were no immediate suspects.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

3:36 p.m.: A man was arrested on the 100 block of N. Chestnut St. on a warrant from Alamosa County.

4:52 p.m.: A man was arrested for trespass at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., as two other men fought outside the library. One man was arrested on charges of trespass and disturbing the peace.
