Kids of all ages look forward to the VFW Easter egg hunt every year.

The VFW Ladies Auxiliary #5231 will hold their annual Bake Sale and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30 at the Post Home, 136 Grand Avenue in Mancos.

The ladies are asking the children to arrive at the Post at 1 p.m. for a short movie while the Bunny and helpers hide the eggs.

The hunt will begin at 2 p.m., or as soon as the eggs are all hidden. The Easter Bunny is asking all children to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the less fortunate in our area. The youngsters will be divided up in groups for the hunt, ages toddler to 3, (may be helped by 1 adult); Headstart & Kindergarten (no helpers); 1st & 2nd grades; 3rd & 4th grades, with a scavenger hunt for the 5th & 6th graders. Several of the bright colored, plastic eggs will hold notes that when returned to the Post Home will be redeemed for money or prizes.

The Ladies Auxiliary will also have homemade baked goods available at the Post from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
