Rep. Marc Catlin, a Republican from Montrose, will seek re-election in 2020, according to an affidavit filed with Colorado Secretary of State in January.

Catlin is the former longtime manager of the Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Association who started his second term this year serving the House’s 58th district, which includes Montezuma, Dolores, San Miguel and Montrose counties. He was elected in 2017 to replace then-Rep. Don Coram, who took over the Senate District 6 seat from Ellen Roberts. Catlin was re-elected in November.

Born and raised on the Western Slope, Catlin has spent the 2019 session focused on rural issues, to include lowering the costs of health care and easing regulations on farmers.

Leading up to the November election, Catlin had nearly $16,000 in campaign finance funds. He spent just over $2,200 before the end of November, according to filings with the Colorado Secretary of State.
