Tuesday, April 16

1:40 a.m. A man was arrested in the 1400 block of N. Mildred Road for violating conditions of a bond. He was left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

9:31 a.m. A man was issued a summons for trespassing at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.

11:31 a.m. An inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was issued a warrant.

2:33 p.m. A man was served an active arrest warrant at the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St. He was left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

4:02 p.m. A man was served an active warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

8:25 p.m. A woman called police about a hit-and-run at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. She reported minor damage to her silver Fort pickup. The police officer requested surveillance video to aid the investigation.

Wednesday, April 17

9:32 a.m. A man was served with a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 865 N. Park St.

10:49 a.m. A woman had a seizure while driving in the initial block of Harrison Street. The woman went over a curb and hit a decorative chain fence at the Super 8 motel. The woman was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital.

11:24 p.m. A woman was issued a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, April 18

3:17 p.m. A man was served an arrest warrant in the initial block of north Ash Street. The man was arrested and left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

8:46 p.m. A man was arrested in the 1800 block of E. Main Street on suspicion of shoplifting from Walmart. The officer searched the suspect and discovered several items on the man that appeared to be stolen from store, including a water bottle, Irish Spring body wash, two MIO drink mixes, a packing blade and a flashlight. The man also had four active outstanding warrants. The man was left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Friday, April 19

7:32 p.m. A man was arrested on several outstanding warrants while trying to purchase a gun at a store in the 1300 block of Main Street. The man was left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Saturday, April 20

7:16 a.m. An officer assisted a man who had hit a deer in the 1500 block of Main Street.

2:02 p.m. An officer investigated two men he suspected of drinking in an alley in the 400 block of E. North St. One man was arrested for open container, and he was left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center after being medically cleared by Southwest Memorial Hospital.

Monday, April 22

4:12 a.m. After a call from Walmart reporting a suspected shoplifting, an officer arrested a man in the 1800 block of Main Street after he witnessed the man changing into clothes that still had price tags on them.

Tuesday, April 23

5:25 p.m. A man was arrested for trespassing at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St. The man was left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
