The Mancos Friends of the Library enjoyed a High Tea on Friday, April 26, while perusing books from the spring book sale at the Mancos Public Library.

Bob Seney hosted the tea and provided wonderful savories, finger sandwiches, petit fours and melt-in-your-mouth mints.

Mac Neely made fabulous scones from her English family recipe.

Carolyn Smith brought in her hammered dulcimer and played a wide variety of beautiful music during the tea.

Dmitri Schlotter donated a vintage tea set for a silent auction.

Many volunteers helped with set up, food prep, running the book sale, and clean up and the Friends are very appreciative for every bit of help received.

The event brought in nearly $550 to benefit the library and its programs.

Be watching for the next fundraiser toward the end of May, the popular online silent auction for a night in the Jersey Jim fire watch tower. The nights up for auction are Aug. 9 and 10, 2013.
