Juvenile sorry for fire

DURANGO – A juvenile charged with starting the Weber Fire has been adjudicated as a juvenile delinquent and apologized to victims of the fire, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s office in Denver.

The juvenile has been sentenced, and the federal district court is in the process of determining restitution.

No other information was provided.

The Weber Fire burned 10,000 acres last summer in mountainous terrain south of Mancos, causing mass evacuations and property damage.

Only one small structure was destroyed, and no major injuries were reported.
