One injured in crash amid spring snowstorm

A heavy spring snowstorm hit Cortez and caused slushy roadways on Monday. A one-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 160 at mile marker 30 north of Towaoc sent one person to Southwest Memorial Hospital. The crash delayed traffic in both directions for about a half-hour. The Cortez Fire Protection District, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Montezuma County Sheriff and Southwest Health System ambulance responded.
