Shooting a two-round 169 total, freshman Kiselya Plewe finished 11th in the 4A Girls State Golf Championships at Broken Tee Golf Course in Englewood.

Plewe entered the second round tied for sixth after shooting a 79 in the first round with an eagle on the sixth hole and a birdie on seven. Unable to match her good first round, Plewe shot a 90 on the second day, dropping her to the 11th place slot.

Senior Kala Keltz, Montrose, won the title with a 146.

This was the first year for Dolores High School to have a golf team, that has to compete at the 4A level because the state only has 4A and 5A golf categories.
