Mesa Verde Back Country Horsemen will hold its fifth annual Poker Ride at 8:30 a.m. June 22 beginning half a mile before Transfer Campground, near Mancos.
Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the last riders will leave at 10 a.m. A night ride and Dutch oven cookout will also take place the night of June 22.
Lunch will be available for purchase at 1 p.m. Prizes of $20 per hand and $5 for each additional hand will be awarded for top hands. Prizes include D&SNG tickets, Nihla McCabe custom leather, a new youth saddle, Cavallo boots and more.
Camping will be available from June 21 to June 23. Registration and online payment are available online at www.mesaverdehorsemen.com. Certified weed-free hay is required for camping. Youth are welcome with an accompanying adult. No dogs will be allowed on rides, but are welcome in camp. No stallions will be allowed.
