Tuesday, Aug. 6

2:25 p.m. A deputy was called to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to issue an active warrant. A man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

7:47 p.m. A deputy was called to the 24400 block of County Road G.1 to issue an active warrant. A man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Wednesday Aug. 7

7:43 a.m. A deputy called a woman about property damage in the 11200 block of County Road 34 near Mancos. The woman told the deputy that at 6:30 a.m. she observed her mailbox was knocked of its post. En route to the location, the deputy noticed two other mailboxes knocked off their posts and spoke with several of the homeowners. The case remains under investigation.

9:17 a.m. A deputy was called to the 700 block of Driscoll Street about a report of fraud and mail theft. A woman reported a check had been stolen out of her mailbox. The case remains under investigation, and the deputy contacted the U.S. Postal Service.

9:48 a.m. A deputy was called to Montezuma County Combined Court, 865 N. Park St., to transport a man to Montezuma County Detention Center. The man proved that the reason for the arrest was caused by a clerical error in Mesa County and was released.

2:04 p.m. A deputy was called to the 24000 block of County Road F.5 in southwest Montezuma County about a domestic disturbance. A man reported that his girlfriend had consumed a large amount of alcohol, become confrontational and tried kick his cane out from under him. The woman told the deputy she had been drinking rum and Coca-Cola since 9 a.m. After talking with a witness, the deputy arrested her for domestic violence-harassment and took her to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

3:16 p.m. A deputy was called to the 3100 block of U.S. Highway 160 about a theft. A man reported a fraudulent credit card had been opened in his name. The man was contacting a credit card services company to report the fraud but needed a police report to give to the company.

4:11 p.m. A deputy was called to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue two active warrants to a female inmate.

4:27 p.m. A deputy was called to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue a warrant to a male inmate.

5:38 p.m. A deputy was called to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue a warrant to a male inmate.

8:13 p.m. A deputy responded to a crash of a small airplane in the 40900 block of Road J near Mancos. Two people were bleeding and needed a four-wheeler to evacuate the crash site. The investigation was turned over to the Federal Aviation Administration. The Sheriff’s Posse provided security at the site.

Thursday, Aug. 8

12 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to serve a warrant to a man at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4:08 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to serve two warrants to a man at Montezuma County Detention Center, 735 E. Driscoll St.

4:10 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to serve two warrants to a female inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:36 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to serve a warrant to a male inmate at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:46 p.m. A deputy parked in the 39000 block of U.S. Highway 160 near Mancos saw a white sedan without a front license plate and cited the driver for driving with a revoked license.

10:35 p.m. A deputy stopped a vehicle in the 27900 block of U.S. Highway 184 for having an unlit headlight. The man was arrested on a warrant of having improper control of dogs and was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Friday, Aug. 9

9:50 a.m. A deputy was called to the 10100 block of County Road 40.9 near Mancos to apprehend a man for violating a parole condition. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

12:53 p.m. A deputy was called to the 10200 block of U.S. Highway 491 about a two-vehicle crash on private property. A man in a black Dodge truck struck another vehicle while backing out of a parking space. The officer filed a report.

1:45 p.m. A deputy issued a warrant to a male inmate at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:51 p.m. A deputy issued two warrants to a male inmate at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:07 p.m. A deputy issued a warrant to a female inmate at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:16 p.m. A deputy was in pursuit of a Chevrolet pickup and another deputy set up stop sticks in the 10 block of South Sligo Street. The driver stopped, but fled, and a K-9 unit tracked him to some nearby sagebrush. He was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Sunday, Aug. 11

9:43 a.m. A deputy was called by a man about a lost a wallet in the 300 block of Central Avenue. The man reported he was contacting his banking institutions.

11:41 a.m. A deputy called about a swerving vehicle in the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 160 near Towaoc pulled over a suspect in a black Ford pickup. After blowing a 1.124 blood-alcohol content on a breath analysis unit, the man was arrested for DUI, driving with a BAC over 0.08, weaving and failing to stay in a lane.

Monday, Aug. 12

8:22 a.m. A deputy in the 17000 block of Colorado Highway 145 witnessed a speeding black GMC Yukon and cited a man for driving 75 mph in a 45-mph zone.

4:13 p.m. A deputy issued a warrant to a male inmate at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Tuesday, Aug. 13

8:05 a.m. A deputy was called to the 24000 block of Forest Service Road 526 near Dolores about a road hazard. The deputy arrived to find a BMW SUV blocking the northbound lane. The vehicle was towed.

5:58 p.m. A deputy served a warrant to a female inmate at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
