Mancos woman elected to state regent for Catholic Daughters

The Catholic Daughters of Americas elected new state officers, including Lucy Gasaway, at the 47th Biennial Colorado Sate Convention.

Lucy V. Gasaway of Mancos was elected as Colorado State Regent at the Colorado State Convention in Lakewood, Colorado.

As Colorado state regent, Gasaway is the chief administrative officer in the state, responsible to the national board and national regent. She will enforce the rules of the Catholic Daughters, preside at all meetings of the state court and state board and appoint all committees.

Gasaway worships at St. Margaret Mary Church in Cortez and is a member of Court Sacred Heart No. 1606. She has been a Catholic Daughter for 22 years. Previously, she has served as second vice-state regent, court regent, court vice-regent, court financial secretary and court secretary as well as serving on various committees at both the local and state levels. Most recently she served as the state newsletter editor and state legislative chairperson for the Catholic Daughters.
