Time to celebrate the season's bounty

The second annual Dolores Harvest Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. It is entertaining fun for the whole family.

There will be live music with the Porchlights and Bees Knees from noon to 4 p.m. and kids games, free Galloping Goose rides, Farmers Market and other vendors, food booths and more in Flanders Park in Dolores. Dolores Harvest Fest is sponsored by the town of Dolores and the Dolores Chamber of Commerce.

Check out our Facebook site and you will see the latest pictures from our Business After Hours, and membership meetings. We frequently post new pictures there from our events and other things of local interest so we encourage you to check it out periodically.

Karma Coffee/West Fork Gallery did a fantastic job housing our last membership meeting in August.

Our September Business After Hours, and Membership meetings took place as this article was being written. They were exquisitely hosted by Riverfront Pizza Bar and Grill and the Dolores River Campground.

The final Business After Hours of 2013 is coming up. We will all converge at the 2nd Chance Thrift Store on Thursday, Oct. 24. The hours are from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for every Business After Hours.

Our next monthly membership meeting will be from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 23 from with food provided by the Depot.

Don't forget that starting Nov. 1 the Visitor's Center will move to its winter hours. We will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We will be closed Wednesday's and on the weekends.

DOLORES HOMECOMING

Support the girls volleyball team at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, before putting together your float for the Homecoming Parade that starts at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. Dolores High School football team will battle the Center High School Vikings that night at 7 p.m. Get your red and black on and prepare to make some noise!
