The Mancos Town Gallery announces the opening of a new exhibit, “Masks & Mysteries” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Refreshments will be served.
This show features 15 artists presenting original works and ten masks from the Americas. Artists include Tim Hamilton, Brian Killigrew, Midge Kirk, Marilyn Kroeker, Brian Kyle, Dian Law, Paul Rathburn, Janice Reich, Sara Swift, Lona Warne, Mary and Rob Wilson, Jan Wright, and Ron Yellowbird working in all kinds of media – clay, gourds, feathers, computer debris, Styrofoam, copper, fabric – and lots more.
“Masks & Mysteries” also features masks from the collections of Sarah Allen, Betsy Harrison and Kelly Kilgore Chilcott. The gallery is located within the Mancos Visitors Center at 103 East Bauer Ave. (one block south of U.S. Highway 160- Colorado Highway 184 intersection).
