Twenty years after its grand opening, the Cortez Wendy’s, 221 E. Main Street, has been remodeled.
Highlighting renovations to the building is a new paint job and an expanded dining room area, which, according to field marketing manager, Robbie Rudd, will improve the overall dining experience.
In addition to alterations to the dining room, drink machines have been made more accessible and ventilation within the building has improved. The Wendy’s parking lot also will be redone in the near future.
“It’s beautiful,” said Rudd of the remodeled building. “If you have not been in there, you have to go.”
To celebrate its renovations, Wendy’s will hold a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25. Members of the Cortez Chamber of Commerce will be treated to chili and a Cortez fire engine may be present to mark the occasion.
One day later, on Saturday, Oct. 26, Wendy’s will celebrate its grand opening by offering free food to children 12 years old and younger. Cake will be available for customers who stop by.
