Thursday, Sept. 22

10:36 a.m.: A deputy assisted Cortez police in recovering a vehicle that had been reported stolen and found a suspect in a residence in the 16400 block of County Road 26.

4:23 p.m.: A woman who was a passenger in a car parked in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 160 was arrested on two warrants and on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, making a false report and violating a protection order.

1:47 p.m.: A deputy responded to a complaint of a dog running loose in the 34800 block of Colorado Highway 184, the 12th such call at that address.

11:30 p.m.: A man reported that his son had run away from his residence in Mancos.

Friday, Sept. 23

11:13 a.m.: A man was arrested on two warrants at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:03 p.m.: A male student at Dolores School, 1301 Central Ave., was cited for violating a restraining order from a female student.

5:10 p.m.: A man was arrested on two warrants, including escape, at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:30 p.m.: A $37 bottle of vodka was reported stolen from G Whil Liquors in the 24000 block of County Road G.2.

9:03 p.m.: A woman was pulled over at Mildred Road and Montezuma Ave. because of a defective tail light, arrested on a warrant and warned about the light and driving with a suspended license.

Sunday, Sept. 25

5:54 a.m.: A man was served a summons while in custody at the Towaoc jail, 815 Chief Ignacio St.

5:54 p.m.: A woman reported that the back license plate was missing from her vehicle, parked at a residence in the 30100 block of County Road L in Mancos.

Monday, Sept. 26

1:19 p.m.: A juvenile reported that his pickup truck had struck another vehicle parked at Southwest Community College, in the 33000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

1:30 p.m.: A juvenile was cited for operating a vehicle with unauthorized passengers after his vehicle backed into another vehicle at Dolores High School, 1301 Central Ave.

Tuesday, Sept. 27

1:17 p.m.: A man parked in front of Dolores Town Hall, 400 Central Ave., was arrested on suspicion of possessing an illegal drug and drug paraphernalia.

5:50 p.m.: A woman was cited after he dog reportedly bit a neighbor’s dog in the 19900 block of County Road 21.4.

Wednesday, Sept. 28

8:48 a.m.: A woman reported that someone had slashed the cargo netting covering her husband’s motorcycle at a residence in the 200 N. Ninth St. in Dolores.

12:02 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a restraining order after allegedly making threatening remarks at a residence in the 9000 block of County Road BB in Pleasant View.

4:20 p.m.: A man was arrested on a felony warrant at gunpoint after his vehicle was pulled over in the 16000 block of County Road 25.

8:21 p.m.: A man reported the theft of deer meat at a residence in the 24800 block of County Road F.

Thursday, Sept. 29

4:39 p.m.: A man reported that someone had apparently struck his car with an object, damaging the front quarter panel, bumper and hood, at a residence in the 6600 block of U.S. Highway 160.

12:50 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant and cited for criminal mischief after tipping over a fuel tank in the 12400 block of County Road 21.

Friday, Sept. 30

11:05 a.m.: A deputy filled out an accident report after a driver backed into an unoccupied car at a garage in the 27400 block of U.S. Highway 160, pushing it across the highway into a ditch at the Cortez Cemetery. The deputy told the owner of the second car that the Colorado State Patrol would need to report any damage that her car after it crossed the highway.

Saturday, Oct. 1

11:10 a.m.: A deputy shot and killed an injured deer at a residence in the 21000 block of County Road N.

2:30 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the parking lot at the Ute Mountain Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive in Towaoc.

8:57 p.m.: Neighbors agreed to work on a settlement after a juvenile apparently shot out a van window at trailer home in the 28200 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Sunday, Oct. 2

2:17 a.m.: A driver who appeared to be lost in the 7000 block of County Road G, was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of driving while her ability was impaired and driving without a valid license.
