Tuesday, Sept. 13

9:28 p.m.: A deputy responded to a call about an intoxicated man who had passed out behind the Cork and Bottle Liquor store. He was later arrested on an active warrant.



Wednesday, Sept. 14

8:53 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.



8:25 a.m.: A homeless man reported that a backpack with all his belongings – worth $245 – was stolen from a recycle bin, where he’d left it with his dog while he went inside the store. A surveillance camera revealed than a man in a white GMC pickup drove away with it.



1:33 p.m.: A man was arrested at a residence in the 400 block of E. Main St., on suspicion of stealing a bottle of whiskey from the Cork and Bottle liquor store. He also was given a no-trespass order for Cork and Bottle.



3:50 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 100 block of E. Third St. on suspicion of criminal mischief and domestic violence and held for investigation of felony menacing after allegedly denting a man’s truck while armed with a knife.



10:23 p.m.: A man was arrested on four warrants at the Seventh St. Mobile Home Park, in the 600 block of S. Washington St.



Thursday, Sept. 15

12:07 p.m.: An officer inspected a damaged door at the Calkins building, 100 block of E. First St.



Friday, Sept. 16

12:46 a.m.: A woman was served with a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.



2:54 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant and cited for possessing alcohol in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.



3:40 p.m.: An intoxicated man was arrested for disturbing the peace and taunting a police dog after a fight in City Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.



8:38 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant at City Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.



Saturday, Sept. 17

5:30 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Southwest Memorial Hospital the morning after he had been found dangerously intoxicated in the street in the 500 block of E. Coronado Ave.



2:41 p.m.: A man was arrested for disturbing the peace after he was found intoxicated in an alley in the 400 block of S. Market St. with his pants down.



1:28 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at a residence in the 400 block of W. Seventh St.



5 p.m.: A man at City Market reported that his Kindle tablet was missing, and that he’d last seen it at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.



7:33 p.m.: A man who was asked about his limp was arrested on a warrant at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.



Sunday, Sept. 18

2:26 p.m.: A man was arrested for violating bond conditions after he was found intoxicated in a truck parked in the 700 block of Jordan Place.



1:44 p.m.: A woman was arrested for violating a protection order after she was found intoxicated in a vehicle in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.



Monday, Sept. 19

7:45 p.m.: An officer investigated BB gun damage to a window at an auto store in the 300 block of S. Broadway.



10:32 a.m.: A man was cited for possessing alcohol in Cortez City park, 802 E. Main St., and was asked to stay out of the park the rest of the day.



11:19 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.



1:23 p.m.: A man was cited for operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle in the 800 block of Hospital Drive.



2:24 p.m.: A juvenile was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Wal-Mart, and Montezuma-Cortez High School said it would revoke the juvenile’s off-campus privileges.



6:47 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of stealing $2,000-$5,000 of property from two motel rooms in the 500 block of E. Main St., and for violating a court order restraining him from consuming alcohol.



8:53 p.m.: A man was served a warrant while at the bonding window at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.



11:25 p.m.: A man was arrested for being intoxicated in a roadway in the 600 block of E. Third St.



Tuesday, Sept. 20

4:35 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the 800 block of S. Chestnut St. after a call about a possible automobile break-in.



12:30 p.m.: An officer investigated a report of a stolen cell phone at Cortez Middle School, 450 E. Second Ave.



11:05 a.m.: An officer investigated a report of three punctured tires in the 500 block of S. Madison St.



10:56 a.m.: An officer investigated a report of graffiti behind a store in the 200 block of S. Sligo St.



12:43 p.m.: A man reported that someone had punched his truck as he drove through a crosswalk at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St.



4:19 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief and domestic violence after fighting with a woman and breaking her phone at a residence in the 100 block of S. Linden St.



6:51 p.m.: A woman was arrested while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.
