Basketball Pre-Season

Game Nov. 27

Basketball will be previewed on Tuesday, Nov. 27, when inter squad games are held at the Dolores gym, starting early and lasting a long time, according to Coach Bill Estes.

The 4th grade will play the 5th grade, the sixth grade will play the seventh grade, the eighth grade will play the ninth grade, two girls team will be matched and the JV will play the varsity in games that will give fans a view of the upcoming teams. Each team will play approximately half a ballgame.

A complete schedule of he games of the Junior High and High School will be printed in next week's issue of the Star.

Estes reports approximately two-dozen ball players out for the varsity and JV teams with everyone looking ragged at the moment. Polish will come as practice progresses. The first regularly scheduled game is Nov. 30 at Telluride.

The teams have been practicing out side and in the all-purpose room in the limited times available while waiting for the gym floor to dry. Plans are now to be back on the floor Monday.
