Third Annual 12 Strays Of Christmas, Dogs On Parade

It is that time again for the annual 12 Stray’s of Christmas fundraiser event for the Cortez Animal Shelter. The Animal Shelter has many happy, friendly dogs that will be walking the streets of Cortez in hope of finding their forever home with a lucky human companion. The fundraiser has been a huge success in the past. Local businesses and individuals can sponsor a dog and have their information displayed on each side of the dog’s Christmas outfit while they are happily parading down Main St. Sponsors will also get their information displayed on the dog’s kennel door so the public can see it. Suggested sponsorship of a dog is $25. The shelter will try to cover most of downtown Cortez over the course of 2 weeks starting Monday, Dec. 9 and going until Monday the 23. For more information and to sponsor a dog, call or visit the Cortez Animal Shelter at 2791 E. Main St., or call 565-4910.
