USPS holiday deadlines near

The U.S. Postal Service will deliver nearly 15 billion pieces of mail this month, and deadlines for holiday packages are quickly approaching.

The deadline to send international packages bound for military service members was Tuesday, Dec. 10, but express overseas military mail is still available with a Dec. 17 deadline.

For other international packages, the global express mail deadline is Dec. 19.

The first deadline for standard domestic packages is Saturday, Dec. 14. For cards and letters, the deadline is Dec. 20. Priority mail packages can be sent as late as Dec. 21, and for priority express mail the deadline is Dec. 23.
