Mesa Verde National Park offers hike

Rangers at Mesa Verde National Park will offer a guided hike looking at how animals and plants survive the park's winter environment.

Park rangers plan to lead a free hike exploring how animals and plants survive winter at Mesa Verde National Park.

The hike starts in at the Morefield Campground on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 9 a.m. Advance sign-up is required. Kids should be at least 7 years old to participate.

Be prepared to be outdoors for up to three hours.

Wear layers of clothing and bring water and snacks.

There is a limit of 20 people.

If needed, snowshoes will be provided, or you may bring your own.
