Recently, Resolute Energy Corp. provided a donation of $1,000 to the Por Dia Preschool and learning center in Cortez.
The Por Dia Preschool recently sustained flood damage and needed carpet restoration. The Preschool enrolls Navajo, Utes and Anglo children, and some children of Resolute. The preschool has operated for more than 30 years in the area.
Amy Long, school director and owner for more than 16 years, said, “We are so fortunate to have a company help many children in the Cortez area. This funding enabled the children in the Cortez area to have a better learning environment. Our sincerest gratitude to Resolute.”
Resolute’s governmental-public affairs manager, Roger Atcitty said, “not only does Resolute sponsor, support and assist the schools in the community at its operations in Utah, it tries to reach out to other communities, particular such as Cortez since Resolute has one of its office in Cortez”.
Resolute Energy acquires, develops and produces crude oil. Resolute producing assets are the Aneth Field in Utah, Hilight Field in Wyoming, the Permian Basin in West Texas and the Williston Basin of North Dakota.
