The Dolores Public Library has scheduled a lecture series on personal finance that runs April 7 through May 19. Learn about household budgets, credit reports, avoiding identity theft, home loans and investing.

Speakers for the lecture series include:

Pam Moore, deputy director of La Plata Homes Fund Inc., a Southwest Colorado nonprofit, that builds diverse and resilient communities by developing affordable housing and empowering residents with the financial resources and educational tools to achieve homeownership.Andrew Cuckie (Cookie), a financial adviser from Edward Jones, Cortez. Cuckie a native of Cortez and has worked in the finance industry since 2012. The Edward Jones Co. was founded in 1922 and primarily focuses on financial planning for individual investors and small business owners.Donna Dyer, information security adviser at Dolores State Bank. Dyer is a native of Dolores and has worked in information technology as a programmer, systems analyst, and data processing auditor. She has an MBA and was the information security officer for the Federal Reserve Bank in Virginia. She has worked for Dolores State Bank in information security since 2004.The lecturesThursday, April 7, 6 p.m.Pam Moore, of the La Plata Homes Fund discusses household budget goals and making a budget you can live with.

Thursday, April 21, 6 p.m.Worried about retiring? Investment adviser Andrew Cuckie, of Edward Jones, discusses safe investment strategies.

Saturday, April 23, 1 p.m.Interested in buying a home? Pam Moore, of La Plata Homes Fund, reviews home loan options and the home loan application process.

Thursday, May 5, 6 p.m.How is your credit score doing? Pam Moore, of La Plata Homes Fund, focuses on understanding a credit report and ways to improve your score.

Thursday, May 19, 6 p.m.Are you at risk of identity theft? Donna Dyer, of Dolores State Bank, reviews the latest information on methods of identity theft and how to protect yourself.
