Why are you running for town board? I believe that people need to be involved in their community.

What experience do you bring to the table?

I am currently on the Dolores Planning and Zoning Commission.

What is your occupation? Age? I am the Director of Corporate Support for the Community Radio Project, developing marketing opportunities for local businesses on KSJD and at The Sunflower Theatre. I am 35 years old.

What do you hope to accomplish as a town board member? I hope to support current businesses and encourage new small locally owned businesses to open in Dolores.

What has Dolores town government done well in recent years? Infrastructure improvements such as upgrading water and sewer lines, and collaborating with the Montezuma County Office of Emergency Management on The Montezuma County Hazard Mitigation plan to identify and mitigate risks to the town, and increase access to federal relief funding in the event of a natural disaster.

In what ways do you think town government could improve Dolores? I think that the town board should update the zoning code to fix inconsistencies, and all commercial projects should go through planning and zoning, rather than just approval by the zoning administrator.

Do you have a vision for the future of Dolores?

An economically vibrant town where neighbors look out for each other.
