Mancos students in fourth and fifth grade will present Musical Proverbs at the Mancos Opera House at 6:30 p.m.
The Montezuma Valley Farm Hub presents Improving Your Soil for Optimum Production with Greg Vlaming. Participants learn to identify soil texture and structure, take and interpret soil tests, improve tilth, use cover crops, guard against erosion. Meet at Let It Grow from 7-9 p.m. for the first class. Mancos Water Conservancy District and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will be holding a joint informational workshop on the title transfer at the Mancos Community Center at 10 a.m.
April 25
On Friday April 25th from 2-6 p.m., Cooking Matters Colorado will empower shoppers with skills to stretch their food dollar and serve healthy meals. At the Cortez City Market, 2-6 p.m. Participants receive a $10 gift card, a reusable shopping bag and a booklet of tips and recipes.
April 26
20th Annual Pueblo to Pueblo Run/Bike event - a half-marathon, 5K run/walk and 50-mile bike event. Registration information on the Cortez Cultural Center's website, cortezculturalcenter.org.
Annual Montelores Early Childhood Fair and Celebration is 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Montezuma County Annex Building. It's a free health fair for children, birth to 5 years old. Car seat inspections and installation available until noon. Car seats available for $25; bike helmets for $5; fittings available.

The Young Professionals Group hosts a candidate forum 6-8 p.m. at the First National Bank of Cortez, 2258 E. Main Street. The forum includes candidates for sheriff, coroner and county commissioner. Free and open to all ages. Call 759-4696.

The Mancos high school and middle school band concert is set for April 29 at 7 p.m. in the Mancos Opera House.

SouthWest Colorado Concerts presents the famous Golden Dragon Acrobats at 7 p.m. at the Cortez Middle School Auditorium. This 26-member company of Chinese acrobats perform astounding acrobatics and traditional dance.
