8:22 a.m. A protection order violation was reported at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. A woman’s ex-husband contacted her through Facebook and made multiple accounts after being blocked.

Thursday, Oct. 15

10:40 a.m. A man was bitten by a neighbor’s dog in the 24200 block of County Road K.3. The dog was quarantined.

Sunday, Oct. 18

11:49 a.m. Property damage was reported in the 80 block of Central Avenue in Dolores. Someone attempted to drill out the keyhole of a lock on a shed.

Wednesday, Oct. 21

10:12 a.m. A civil dispute was reported in the 23800 block of County Road F.4. A man received traffic and toll road fines from the city of Denver for a license plate number of a car he said he sold two years earlier.

Thursday, Oct. 22

4:58 p.m. A one-vehicle crash occurred in the 10700 block of U.S. Highway 491. The driver broke both his legs and had to be sedated to be extracted from the vehicle.

Friday, Oct. 23

11:08 a.m. A male inmate was served a warrant for failure to appear at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

4:32 p.m. A structure fire was reported in the 27000 block of County Road T. A small garage caught fire and spread to several trees. The fire was caused by a skid steer that began smoking and caught fire.

6:16 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion for driving without a license and failing to provide proof of insurance in the 6000 block of County Road 25.

Sunday, Oct. 25

1:01 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of harassment, domestic violence, criminal mischief and false reporting in the 12800 block of County Road 29. Two altercations occurred between a man and woman who had recently separated. The woman reported that the man had assaulted her, but an investigation concluded she was the aggressor.

2:38 p.m. Strong winds knocked over a power line and caused a brush fire in the 25500 block of County Road 38.1. Several trees and a small private bridge were damaged.

Monday, Oct. 26

12:23 a.m. A warrant was issued for a man on suspicion of violating a protection order and domestic violence in the 5600 block of County Road 25. A break-in was reported after a window was broken. The victim also reported that a man she was two protection orders against had been calling and messaging her and she suspected him of the break-in.

Tuesday, Oct. 27

5:58 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of theft, second-degree criminal trespass and criminal mischief in the 28200 block of County Road H.6. The woman was seen taking down a Trump flag, and when confronted by the property owner tried to drive away and damaged the man’s motorcycle. The flag was found in her vehicle.

Monday, Oct. 26

12:18 p.m. A cold theft and burglary was reported at Pueblo Community College, 33057 U.S. Highway 160.The lock on a storage unit was cut, and items worth an estimated $500 were taken.

Friday, Oct. 30

7:30 a.m. A civil dispute and possible animal neglect were reported in the 7200 block of County Road 25. Cattle were in the wrong pasture, and the landowner expressed concerns that the animals were not being cared for properly.

Saturday, Oct. 11

5:11 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of disorderly conduct in the area of 11th Street and Central Avenue, Dolores. A man allegedly threw a bottle at another man.

11:46 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and DUI per se at Totten Lake. He had parked near the boat ramp to sleep after a party.

Sunday, Nov. 1

12:35 a.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant for failure to appear at Totten Lake.

2:58 a.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence in the 2200 block of Hawkins Street. An officer observed the woman strike the man she was with.

7:52 a.m. A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 26700 block of County Road L.

4:32 p.m. A stray bullet damaged a window in the 15800 block of County Road 28.3. No one was injured.

Monday, Nov. 2

11:06 a.m. A fire was reported at Excelsior Mill, 901 W. Grand Ave., Mancos. The fire appeared to be due to an electrical issue and was extinguished.

Tuesday, Nov. 3

4:22 p.m. A woman was arrested on an active warrant for failure to comply at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

Wednesday, Nov. 4

8:53 a.m. Fraud was reported in the 11400 block of County Road 34. A man sent a $500 gift card to someone claiming to be from the Social Security Administration.

Thursday, Nov. 5

5:02 p.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 19000 block of U.S. Highway 491. A man and woman were looking into a vehicle and fled when confronted.

9:21 p.m. A female inmate was served four warrants at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Nov. 6

10:02 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of driving with a retrained license and failure to provide insurance in the 24200 block of County Road G.

Saturday, Nov. 7

8:41 p.m. Two male hunters were reported missing in the 3700 block of County Road S. They could not be located before nightfall, as snow began to fall. A search and rescue foot search began the next morning, and the two men were located. Neither man was injured.
