Wednesday, Nov. 18

12:21 p.m. A man lost control of a fire and several neighbors’ properties were threatened in the 12200 block of County Road 40. The neighbors declined to press charges, but the case is under investigation, and criminal charges are being considered.

Monday, Dec. 7

3:21 a.m. Possible domestic violence was reported in the 21900 block of County Road G. An investigation determined the accusations were unfounded.

Sunday, Dec. 13

10:03 a.m. A man was cited for riding an off-road vehicle within the city limits of Dolores in the 90 block of Central Avenue. The case is under investigation to determine whether damage was caused.

Wednesday, Dec. 16

1:43 a.m. An assault was reported in the 19900 block of County Road 19. A man said his girlfriend scratched his face during an argument and he defended himself by punching her in the face. The girlfriend said he hit her first and she fought back. An investigation determined the alleged assault took place in New Mexico, and the case was referred to Bureau of Indian Affairs in Shiprock.

8:18 a.m. Shoes and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of North Seventh Street, Dolores.

Thursday, Dec. 17

12:24 p.m. Identity theft was reported in the 27000 block of County Road U.2, Dolores. A woman’s friend admitted to changing the shipping address on her friend’s account at several online stores in order to receive any purchases to her own address. The woman declined to press charges due to no monetary loss.

Friday, Dec. 18

8:26 a.m. A possible protection order violation was reported in the 300 block of Riverside Avenue, Dolores. A man admitted to contacting his ex-wife outside of parenting issues in order to be vindictive and agreed to cease. He agreed to pick up a summons for protection order violation at a later date.

6:18 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender in the 6400 block of County Road 23.6.

Sunday, Dec. 20

12:38 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order in the 20900 block of County Road W. The woman arranged to pick up her belongings from the home of a man she was protected against and later refused to leave to property.

Monday, Dec. 21

2:17 p.m. Property crime was reported in the 1700 block of East Seventh Street. County Road and Bridge Department made a complaint that residents were moving rocks and dirt placed by the county to block access to County Road J. It was recommended that the department take legal action.
