After graduating from Montezuma-Cortez in 2015, Dayne Black, Dante Dennison and Justice Ramos will each continue their athletic pursuits at the college level, after committing to schools this summer.

Black committed to play baseball for Butte College in Oroville, Calif. Black was a starting pitcher for M-CHS during his sophomore, junior and senior years, and also played some third base. Butte head coach Anthony Ferro expects Black to see time at first and third base, and perhaps play some in the outfield.

Dennison committed to join the track team at Colorado Mesa University. Dennison was a state qualifier in the shot put during the 2015 season. He will throw the shot at CMU, but will also be tested with the hammer throw and discus.

Ramos signed on with the University of Colorado Boulder track team. Ramos finished fourth in the state in the 800-meter run last season and is the M-CHS 800m record holder with a time of 1:55. He will run middle distance at Boulder.
