Attorney Mike Green will be at the Cortez Senior Center, 107 N. Chestnut, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. to assist with living wills. Free.

June 5

Meet and Greet your local, state and federal candidates at 7 p.m. at Holiday Inn Conference Center in Cortez. There will be free snacks and a cash bar. All are welcome.

June 6

Republican fundraiser: Join candidates for a golf tournament at the Conquistador Golf Course. Contact Jane Eaton at 565-0654 for more info. Funds assist Montezuma County Republican Central Committee.

Republican fundraising dinner at the Cortez Elks Club. Cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Dessert auction and silent auction. Tickets are $35/person for choice of steak or chicken. Call Danny Wilkin at 970-749-0273 for reservations. Funds assist Montezuma County Republican Central Committee.

Ute Mountain Rodeo Dance at 8 p.m., American Legion Post 75, 320 North Harrison, Cortez. Band: Vanishing Breed. Cost: $5 per person. Call 970-565-8151.

June 7

Kiwanis Youth Fishing Tournament at Groundhog Lake for youths 16 and under. No fee. For first 30 that register: Power bait, night crawlers, lake sinkers, hooks, and a nylon fishing stringer. Registration: 7:30 am to 9:30 am, weigh-in at 1:00 p.m. Prizes.

June 9-12

Summer Volleyball Camp, by M-CHS, for girls and boys going in to grades 4-8, 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Cortez Middle School. Cost: $80. Register June 5 at MCHS gy, 6:30-8 p.m. or at CMS. On June 9, enter at CMS gym door, east parking lot.

The Four Corners Back Country Horsemen holds its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the PineRiverSeniorCenter in Bayfield. Guests are invited. John Owens will give a presentation on saddle construction. The 4 Corners Beekeepers Association's monthly meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Florida Baptist Church on U.S. 160 near Elmore's. Guest speaker is from the local Master Gardeners Club. Everyone is invited.

Southwest Center for Independence yard sale fundraiser at 2409 E. Empire St., 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Clean, gently used donations are appreciated. Refreshments provided. To donate or volunteer, call 970-570-8001.

CSU Extension and Southwestern Colorado Research Center offer a workshop titled: Enhancing Dryland Farming with the Integration of Forages & Grazing from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Board Room at 409 North Main, Dove Creek. A free legal self-help clinic for Montezuma County parties without an attorney are 2-5 p.m. at the Mancos Public Library, 211 W. First St. Volunteer attorneys will assist one-on-one, via computer link. First-come, first-served.

Wednesday Morning Yoga will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Kaleidoscope, 233 Park St. in Mancos.

The Mancos Indoor Flea Market is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the old hardware store in Mancos, 192 S. Main St. To become a vendor, call Queenie Barz at 749-9320. The booth fee is $15 per weekend, along with insurance and vendor license charges.
