The Four Corners Back Country Horsemen holds its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the Pine River Senior Center in Bayfield. Guests are invited. John Owens will give a presentation on saddle construction. Southwest football camp is 9 a.m. to noon each day. Open to students in grades 2-8. Registration can be picked up at the Cortez Rec Center or fourcornersyafl.com. Registration fee is $50 per person if paid by May 28; $60 if paid May 29 through June. Call Ray Weir at (970) 882-4269 through June.

The Dolores Mountain Quilters have a new display at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St. Call 970-565-8117.

June 13

Girl Scout Bronze Award Event, 5:30 p.m.- 8 p.m., Cortez City Park, meet at the stage. Girl Scouts will do a skit to highlight the signs of child abuse. Donation: $3 a plate for hot dogs, chips and beverages. Bring a chair or blanket

Mancos Valley Distillery Presents The Dave Duncan Band, playing electric Blues June 13th, 8 p.m., $5 cover. Information: Call Ian at 970-946-0229.

June 14

Free tours of about 20 local artist's studios will be held 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. for The Great Mancos Roundup. Start at the Mancos Visitor's Center at 101 E. Bauer where maps are available.

A Butterfly and Insect Walk at the Mancos State Park will be held 2-3:30 p.m. Meet at the Quarry Trailhead.

Blues, swing, jazz and dancing with WE-3, featuring Tony Littlejohn, Herb Folsom, Cat Hill and special guest trumpeter Bob Newnan at 7-9 p.m. at the Cortez Cultural Center's opening summer season of music, downtown Cortez.

The 4 Corners Beekeepers Association's monthly meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Florida Baptist Church on U.S. 160 near Elmore's. Guest speaker is from the local Master Gardeners Club. Everyone is invited.

Free Wildflower Walks, Carpenter Natural Area (west entrance at Lebanon Road), 9 a.m. Also June 23, July 12, Aug. 9, Sept. 13. Sponsored by Cortez Parks and Recreation Department and the San Juan/Four Corners Native Plant Society.

June 16

Four Corners 9/12 group meets 7 p.m. at the Cortez Elks Lodge This months meeting will be open candidate forum for County Commission. Candidates will be James Lambert and Jim Candelaria.

June 19

Learn about beekeeping and beehives at the Mancos Public Library at 6 p.m. This program will explore the current plight of bees and showcase the new colony of bees at the library.

There will be an open house of the Mancos Times Building to showcase the restoration efforts. Tours will run from the Mancos Community Center 5:30- 7:30 p.m.

Trio Solisti Chamber Music Concert at the Wright Opera House in Ouray, 7:30 p.m. Called "the most exciting piano trio in America" by The New Yorker, Trio Solisti has come to Ouray County for the past 11 years.
