FARMINGTON – The Farmington Police Department said Thursday it is searching for a man suspected of starting a string of fires.
According to the police department, 13 dumpster fires and one vehicle fire were set between Dec. 17 and Jan. 11. All were determined to be arson.
According to a news release, five of the dumpster fires took place the evening of Jan. 11, when police made contact with Daryl Levi, who investigators later identified as the suspect “through business surveillance and body camera footage.”
A warrant has been issued for Levi on suspicion of five counts of arson.
An investigation remains active for nine other fires. Anyone with information is asked to call the police department tip line at (505) 599-1068.
