A group of citizens presented the Town Board with a petition on June 11 for an ordinance to reduce the nuisance that chickens in town create. The petition requested that roosters be banned and the town make sure chickens are kept away from property lines.
The issue didn't appear on the June 25 agenda.
"I'm not sure what the next steps in this discussion will be," said Town Administrator Andrea Phillips. "The board will be interested in hearing from the community on this."
