Music. Art. Music. Art. Music. Art. We've got a fair amount of both around these parts and should feel mighty lucky.

If you haven't danced to the Moetones, put on your boots and check them out.

And congratulations to the residents of Mancos for being selected a candidate of the Colorado Creative District program.

High-fives all around for the beautification efforts and for the overall charming face of our wonderful home.

Here's a lineup of the art, music and dance for the next two weeks.

Chimney Choir at the Dolores River Brewery

What: "Denver-based Chimney Choir is more than just a group of talented multi-instrumentalists looking to evoke an old-timey sound. They are an artistic oddity; a unique, homemade collage of sound. Their roots are laced deep in the soil of Americana and folk, though, the character of their melodic folk sound hinges largely on a skillful balancing of freaky vocal interplay with computer synths, traditional acoustics and kitchen sink percussion." - Flagstaff LIVE (March, 2013)

Jeffrey Foucault at the Dolores River Brewery

When: Thursday, July 10, at 8 p.m.

Cost: $10 cover

What: Longtime disciple of the rich and strange music that sings behind the American veil, Western Massachusetts-based Foucault has spent the last decade mining the darker seams of country and blues, producing a string of spare and elemental albums of rare power while garnering accolades across the United States and overseas for a tersely elegant brand of songwriting.
