“READ ...” is the August theme of the Raising Readers Storytime at the Cortez Public Library, at 202 N. Park St., Cortez, Colo.
The preschool Storytime program is every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Older children are welcome to join us for a craft at 11:15 a.m.
The library also offers a summer Storytime at the Cortez Farmers Market every Saturday at 10:30 a.m., weather permitting. The Farmers Market Storytime follows the same theme each week as our regular preschool Storytime.
“Humpty Dumpty” is the subject on Thursday, Aug. 7 and Saturday, Aug. 9. “Home Sweet Home” will be introduced on Thursday, Aug. 14 and Saturday, Aug. 16. “Peculiar Partners” will be discussed on Thursday, Aug. 21 and Saturday, Aug. 23. Wrapping up the month will be Fascinating Flora” on Thursday, Aug. 28 and Saturday, Aug. 30.
Raising Readers Storytime offers songs, stories, crafts and silliness and uses the Early Childhood Literacy Initiative program.
