Hospice of Montezuma plans a free seminar on advance health-care decision-making on Saturday, April 18, at the Cortez Conference Center from 8 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be provided.
The seminar is part of National Healthcare Decisions Day, which is recognized on April 16, and is supported in part by the Holiday Inn and investment advisers Edward Jones and Saybrus Partners. (lunch provided).
Professionals will discuss topics including how to talk about your wishes with your family, friends and health-care providers; financial and long-term planning; and how to execute written advance directives in accordance with Colorado laws.
National Healthcare Decisions Day is an initiative to encourage patients to express their wishes regarding healthcare and for providers and facilities to respect those wishes.
