12 p.m.: A man was arrested near Montezuma Ave. and Park St. on an active warrant and on suspicion of criminal mischief possessing ethyl alcohol and violating a protection order, after he was accused of causing $1,583.58 damage to the interior of a woman’s car.
12:54 p.m.: A man was cited for trespassing in a vacant home in the 500 block of E. Montezuma St. At 7:08 p.m., he was arrested after returning to the home.
4:08 p.m.: An intoxicated man was arrested on four active warrants – from Montezuma, Elbert, Rio Blanco and Arapahoe counties – after he refused to leave a City Market restroom.
10:49 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 400 block of S. Main St. on suspicion of third-degree assault, domestic violence, child abuse and violating a protection order.
Monday, May 23
5:04 a.m.: A male driver was pulled over in the 1800 block of E. Empire St. and arrested on seven active warrants, driving with a revoked license as a habitual offender and failing to dim his high-beam headlights.
8:27 a.m.: A driver was arrested on an active DUI warrant and cited for driving 34 mph in the 400 block of E. Main St., a 25 mph zone.
9:28 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 2200 block of E. Main St. on suspicion of trespassing.
11:43 a.m.: A male driver was pulled over in a parking lot in the 1100 block of E. Main St. and arrested on suspicion of aggravated motor theft and driving with a revoked license.
5:51 p.m.: Police plan to request a warrant for the arrest of a man suspected of stealing a client monitoring unit and bracelet valued at $1,575 from Rocky Mountain Offender Management, in the 200 block of N. Linden St.
Tuesday, May 24
1:32 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of menacing in the 800 block of N. Mildred Road after his mother reported that he endangered her and her elderly clients at her residence in the 1200 block of Animas St.
10:01 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of stealing goods valued at $93.09 from Wal-Mart.
11:42 a.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant after he was seen walking in the City Market parking lot.
12:25 p.m.: A man reported a broken automobile window in the 400 block of N. Linden St.
1:46 p.m.: An intoxicated man was arrested on two active warrants in the 600 block of Washington St. after residents reported that he was shouting and creating a disturbance.
6:14 p.m.: A woman with a warrant for her arrest turned herself in at the police department, 604 N. Park St.
Wednesday, May 25
10:38 a.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant at a pet facility in the 10 block of N. Madison St. after he allegedly made threatening remarks about his father.
11:05 a.m.: The Goal Academy reported that a window had been shot out in the 200 block of N. Linden St. Video surveillance revealed that two young males on bicycles were suspects.
12:43 p.m.: The Madison House, in the 100 block of S. Madison St., reported graffiti.
12:56 p.m.: A male driver cited for running a stoplight at S. Broadway and W. Seventh St. and left at the jail after appearing to be under the influence of marijuana.
11:28 p.m.: After a report of a disturbance in the 500 block of N. Market St., a man was arrested on suspicion of violating two protection orders, DUI, weaving and resisting arrest and taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital and strapped to a gurney. A man inside the residence was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace, and taken to the hospital and strapped to a gurney. At the hospital, both men appeared to be hallucinating, and the first man attempted to chew through his handcuffs and steel gurney bars. The second man reported that he had taken meth and heroin. Both were jailed.
1:30 p.m.: A Cortez Middle School student who admitted that he set off a fire alarm may face a charge of interfering with an education institution.
Thursday, May 26
5:43 a.m.: A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and careless driving after allegedly damaging two parked cars in the 300 block of W. Montezuma Ave.
